Robbery in Haryana Grameen Bank, Robbers looted Rs.28 Lakh

A robbery occurred at the Sarva Haryana Gramin Bank in Agroha, Hisar, Haryana. The miscreants cut through the back wall of the bank, creating a path to the safe in the strong room. They then cut open the safe with a cutter, removed 27.92 lakh rupees, and easily left the bank.

The thieves also damaged the bank's CCTV cameras. However, one CCTV captured a suspect wearing a mask and a hood.

When the bank reopened on Monday after a holiday on Saturday and Sunday, employees discovered someone had broken into the bank. The bank manager was informed. Upon arriving, the manager discovered that thieves had entered the bank by cutting through the wall and removing cash from the safe.

Agroha police were then informed of the incident. Agroha DSP Kishori Lal arrived at the scene and called in the dog squad from Sirsa. The team arrived at the bank around 3 p.m.

DSP Kishori Lal said the police are investigating the entire incident. Fingerprint experts and a dog squad have been called to the scene. CCTV footage from nearby homes and other locations is also being examined.

Bank manager Ankit Kundu, a resident of the village of Pabrada, said that the thieves left the bundle of 50,000 rupees at the scene after the crime. Perhaps they couldn't reach it. There were more than 28 lakh rupees in the safe. During the theft, the robbers took away 27.92 lakh rupees.

The manager explained that the safe contained bundles of 500, 200, and 100 rupee notes, which the thieves stole. The bank was closed for two days due to a holiday, which the thieves took advantage of. The theft was discovered when the bank reopened on Monday.
